Cigna's New Global Brand Demonstrates Our Commitment to Our Customers

You may have noticed we have a new look – our logo, our colors, even the way we write our name are new – but it’s more than that! We’ve launched a new global brand with images and stories that are simple, but powerful: Cigna has the people, resources, and programs to help improve the health, well-being, and sense of security of every customer, so that every customer can enjoy a better life.

Preventive Health Programs

We implement evidence-based programs to help prevent the incidence, emergence, or worsening of behavioral health disorders. Strong improvements over a three year time period have been measured in the Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity preventive health program. A second program of early intervention for individuals with depression is relatively new, and measured rates that have remained largely unchanged.

Electronic Data Interchange & Cigna

At Cigna, we want to help you make the most of your time by providing tools to help you handle your administrative details. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions will allow you more time to spend on the most important part of health care — assisting your patients.

WSelecting the appropriate level of care for patients who are diagnosed with a substance abuse problem can be daunting, due to the various treatments available. This article seeks to clarify the different inpatient treatment options.

Identifying Barriers to Client Participation in Treatment and Engaging Clients in Treatment

Health care professionals face a number of issues when treating patients, including poor patient participation and difficulty engaging patients in treatment. This article will discuss some of the common causes that affect patient participation and engagement in treatment.

Customer Care and Safety Practice

We use a variety of tools to assess network care and safety practices for customers. These include annual measures of care coordination, appointment access, measuring efficiency of care transitions across levels of care, and handling customer complaints regarding quality of care. High standards for care are maintained by the use of nationally accepted guidelines for clinical practice and professional record-keeping.

Treatment of Insomnia

The good news about insomnia is that there are many pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options to choose from. Treatment depends in part on the cause of the insomnia and also on patient needs. Combinations of medication and non-pharmacological treatments such as psychotherapy are usually more successful in treating insomnia than either one alone.
