Clinical Screening Tools

CIGNA Behavioral Health (CBH) has added a new link for practitioners called Clinical Screening Tools. Health benefit carriers, employer groups, and epidemiologists increasingly recommend the use of validated screening instruments to identify individuals with undiagnosed disorders, to monitor ongoing symptom severity, and to assess outcomes in clinical practice. Where necessary, we have obtained permission from copyright holders for use and distribution, and support clinical excellence by making the following validated instruments available for these purposes. On our website www.cignabehavioral.com we have posted links and instructions for the following tools:
· Patient Health Questionnaire - 9 (PHQ-9)
· Patient Health Questionnaire - 15 (PHQ-15)
· Patient Health Questionnaire - Brief (PHQ-Brief)
· Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT)
· Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test - C (AUDIT)
· Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ)

In addition to the screening tools we have a host of tools available via our website www.cignabehavioral.com:
· CBH’s Level of Care Guidelines
· Clinical review templates
· EAP Clinical Assessment form
· Practice Guidelines
· Provider Guide (referenced in your contract as the Medical Management Program)
· Plus a variety of practitioner communications (eBrief, Provider/Practitioner Connections, etc.)
