ICD Code Field Changes

We are preparing for the transition to ICD10 diagnosis codes. As a result, a "version" field was added to our website's claim form. This field must be completed in order for the claim to be submitted through our website. There are two drop-down menu choices for this field: "9" (for ICD9 codes) and "0" (for ICD10 codes)

  • Currently, all claims should be billed with ICD9 diagnosis code. The indicator in the version field should be 9
  • ICD10 implementation is targeted for October 2013, although it may be delayed until October 2014. Once the implementation date is confirmed and the ICD10 codes go live, please use "0" (zero) in the version field
  • The website will not allow the current use of ICD10 codes

Additional Space for Diagnostic Codes

The website claim form now allows for entry of up to 12 diagnosis codes, rather than the four that were available on the previous version.
